History

In Wade’s Memory,
With Everyone in Mind

The Wade J. Woodmark Foundation was created in loving memory of Wade John Woodmark, a gifted and compassionate young man whose life was tragically cut short. In the wake of unimaginable loss, his family chose to honor Wade’s spirit by creating spaces and programs that offer others what they needed most — hope, healing, and a place to rest.

Wade’s House –
A Healing Places of Hope

A separate residence located in downtown Depoe Bay, has spectacular views of the Depoe Bay harbor and bridge, and the full expanse of the coastal shoreline.

This two-story home sleeps four and is beautifully appointed.

One-of-a-kind works of art, curated by Talley, adorn every room. A Sunstone wall installation at the top of the stairs is made of raw Sunstones from the Woodmark family’s Ponderosa Oregon Sunstone Mine. The sunstones where selected by Wade Woodmark.

This home has a generous living room, dining area, library, perfect for storm watching. The fully stocked and appointed kitchen is every chef’s dream. Dine alfresco on the private patio while observing the harbor activity.

Upstairs, enjoy a morning coffee while whale watching from your memory foam adjustable bed. The bathroom embodies luxury with a soaking tub, and separate shower.

This home is the cornerstone of the Wade J. Woodmark foundation, (a 501c3 corp.) offering couples who have lost a child the opportunity to vacation at the home for free and experience the healing waters of the Oregon Coast.
